Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and DUNA YAZILIM DANIŞMANLIK LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ (“we”, “us”) when you use Hound App, on this website or in the app.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel before the current one ends. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. How to cancel is set out in our subscription terms.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By using Hound App or buying a subscription you accept these terms, together with our subscription terms, our money-back policy and our privacy policy, which form part of them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Important disclaimers

Hound App is not veterinary advice, and it is not a substitute for a veterinarian or a qualified behaviourist. We do not diagnose or treat medical conditions. Some behaviours that look behavioural are caused by pain or illness. If your dog is unwell, in pain, has changed suddenly, or has injured a person or another animal, see a vet or a qualified behaviourist. Nothing here should delay that.

Results differ from dog to dog. Behaviour work depends on the dog, the household and how consistently the plan is followed. We describe what the plan is designed to do. We do not promise a particular outcome, and any projection shown to you during the questions is modelled from your own answers and labelled as such.

The plan is built from your answers. It is only as accurate as what you tell us, so answer honestly and update your answers if things change.

3. Your account

You create an account with your email address. Keep your login details and your inbox secure, because anyone with access to them can sign in as you, and tell us at hello@houndapp.xyz if you think somebody else has access.

Use the same email address at checkout that you use to sign in. Your subscription is filed against the address you paid with. A different address creates a second account with nothing in it.

The service is not intended for anyone under 18. You must be at least 18 to create an account or buy a subscription.

4. The service

Hound App builds a structured behaviour plan for your dog from the answers you give us, and delivers it in the app as daily exercises. The plan runs 12, 24 or 52 weeks, depending on how severe the behaviour is and how long it has been going on, and the length is shown to you before you pay. It is an educational and training product built on published desensitisation and counter-conditioning protocols.

We keep improving the service, so features and content may change. We will not remove the core of what you paid for during a period you have already paid for.

5. The app, app stores and third parties

The app is downloaded from Apple's App Store, and Apple's own terms apply to that download. A subscription bought on this website is billed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, not by Apple, and is not managed from your Apple settings. A subscription bought inside the app, including any free trial offered there, is billed by Apple under Apple's terms, and is cancelled and refunded through Apple.

The service may link to websites or services run by other people. We do not control them and are not responsible for them.

6. Subscription fees and payment

Every plan is sold at an introductory price. You are charged that price today, and it covers the introductory period shown below. When that period ends the subscription renews automatically at the renewal price, and keeps renewing at that price until you cancel.

There is no free trial on this website. The 1-Week Trial is a paid introductory week, and the introductory charge is taken at the moment you pay, not later.

Where a struck-through or “normally” price appears anywhere on this site, it is the renewal price in the table above. It is a price you will genuinely be charged if you stay subscribed. It is not an invented former price.

If you abandon the checkout you may be shown a second, lower introductory price. Both are real prices and either can be taken. The renewal price does not change.

The introductory price on the payment page is shown with a countdown. When the countdown ends, the 4-Week Plan and 12-Week Plan are shown at their normal price instead (the renewal price above), and that is the price you are charged if you pay after it has ended. The 1-Week Trial keeps its price. Reloading the page starts the countdown again.

Auto-renewal. By buying a subscription you authorise us to charge the renewal price shown above at the start of each new period, to the payment method you used, until you cancel. If we change the renewal price we will email you before the change affects a renewal of yours, and you can cancel before it does.

Taxes and currency. Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax unless the checkout says otherwise. Your local currency, and any VAT or sales tax, are shown to you in the checkout before you pay.

Who you are actually paying. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com Market Ltd, which is the merchant of record for all our orders. Paddle handles the payment, charges and remits any sales tax or VAT, and issues your receipt. Billing and payment queries, including invoices and refunds, can go to Paddle at paddle.net or to us at hello@houndapp.xyz.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. How to cancel is in our subscription terms.

Refunds. You can get a full refund, for any reason, within 30 days of your first payment. How to ask is in our money-back policy.

Paddle's refund policy.As merchant of record, Paddle's refund policy also applies to your purchase, including any right the law gives you to withdraw from it. Our money-back guarantee is in addition to it.

7. Resolving a dispute

Most problems are solved by an email. Before starting any claim, write to us at hello@houndapp.xyz with your name, the email address on your account and what went wrong. We will try in good faith to resolve it with you within 30 days.

8. What you may and may not do

Your subscription is for you and your household. You may not resell, republish or redistribute the plan content, or use it to run a training business. You may not attempt to access other people's accounts or data, copy or reverse engineer the software, or interfere with the service.

9. Content

The plan content, the wording, the illustrations and the software are ours and stay ours. The answers you give us stay yours, as does any photo you attach to a coach message in the app; you give us permission to use them to build and deliver your plan.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided as it is and as available. We aim to keep it running but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error free. If we discontinue the service entirely we will tell you and refund the unused part of anything you have paid in advance. Nothing in this section removes any right you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

You remain responsible for your dog. You know your dog and we do not. Stop any exercise that frightens your dog, causes pain, or looks like it is about to result in a bite, and get help from a qualified professional.

12. Indemnity

To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover losses we suffer because you broke these terms or misused the service.

13. International use

We do not offer the service in every country, and we may limit or refuse it where we choose. If you use it from outside the countries we offer it in, you are responsible for complying with your local law.

14. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Hound App and cancel at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and if we do so without good reason we will refund the unused part of your subscription.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will email you before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.

16. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the law of Türkiye, and the courts of Istanbul have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not remove the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, or your right to bring a claim in its courts.

17. Miscellaneous

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else.
